Buffalo Center Mural Project

Commissioned in 2017 to commemorate Buffalo Center, Iowa's 125th year, Sandra and son, Abraham, created the 30'x10' historical mural which now enhances the town's Public Library. Painted on Nudo Aluminum Core Panels using Keim Mineral Coatings, the longevity of the colors and substrate is assured to outlast murals painted in Acrylic or house paint on lesser substrates.

The scene is based on historical photos, as well as input from long time residents and patrons. It includes the original train station, a steam locomotive and train along with an engineer, workman, and future passengers in period attire. A horse drawn wagon, elevators, and barns help take the viewer to a time and place in the town's cherished history.
